The 2021 Gigondas Domaine Grand Romane is always solid. Based on 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah, it has attractive red and black fruits, some spicy wood, leather, and Provençal garrigue aromatics, medium body, sweet tannins, and a good finish. It’s a pleasure-bent, textured, outstanding 2021 Gigondas to drink over the coming 5-7 years.
